Good .....winning...offense was great... seems the DL was more aggressive up front with their plan and they made some plays
Bad....even when we send the blitz we don't make it
Ugly.....losing 17 is a major major problem.

Good: Mac jones and the 2’d half defense

Bad: giving up those long pass plays.. that will be an issue later on

ugly: waddle was really the one guy we couldn’t afford to lose this year.. it will be very difficult to overcome his loss

Good - Been pounding the D so I will say this was their best statistical game. Met my criteria of 300 yards and between 15-20 points. Not always pretty but it worked.

Bad - The big plays given up by the secondary.

Ugly - The Vile orange.

Good:
-Pass protection seemed fantastic
-Once again, the play calling was on point. It felt balanced, the ball got spread around, etc.
-Mac's play is elite. He's killing it
-M. Moore's play is really impressive for a freshman. The staff has confidence to blitz & use him all over the field
-I thought C. Harris played well today. I know some were down on him in the game thread, but IMO he was around the ball a ton
-Reichard!

Bad:
-Secondary getting beat over the top with a big lead... It's not about the completions.... It's those mental lapses that Clemson will feast on
-Mac's 2nd intentional grounding in 2 weeks. Probably mostly just due to lack of experience.... Needs to get it closer to a receiver somehow
-The Bolden fumble and N. Harris "non fumble" at the goal line... 2nd game in a row he put it on the ground by the goal line. The Bolden fumble was a great play by the defender but he can't be the guy turning it over. No one expects him to be Waddle but he's got to be solid (and otherwise he was)
-Pass Rush.... WYA?
-The Kickoff situation is absolutely atrocious. Did 2 more go out of bounds today? I don't understand how Reichard doesn't have the leg to get it past the 10 and no one else has the leg to get it further. It's baffling that we have how many specialists between scholarship and walk on's who specialize in kicking and can't kick

Ugly:
-Maaaaaaaan. Everyone know's how much I enjoy Waddle's game. That is just heartbreaking. Not just because of how it impacts the team & season, but because it feels like karma never paid that young man back. For 2 year's he was the odd man out in so many 3 WR formations... Never complained, never bad body language, even though he was the most explosive dude in Crimson and maybe in the country for the last 3 years. Just when it came his turn, we only got to see him scratch the surface of his talent and impact on the game. And to add, it's likely the last time we get to see him in Crimson, and the dude only got to start a handful of games. Hate it for him... But the show must go on, RTR.

Good- Slade Bolden stepping up when his number was called. He did have the 1 hiccup, with the fumble, but outside of that, he was money.

Bad- the blown targeting call on Smitty! If there was a definition with a picture in the dictionary, that would be the damn picture! It met the criteria verbatim!!!

Ugly- seeing Waddle go down on opening kick. Had a heated exchange with a family member over him being back there. I say you put your best players on the field and you play to win the damn game. The rebuttal was “it’s stupid to have him out there in a game that doesn’t matter!” In my best Coach Stallings voice, “if you think it doesn’t matter, just lose it and find out!” Got crickets from him when I asked where was this bitching and moaning when Waddle was lighting up the Barn last year on kick returns!!

I'm generally pretty critical of Saban over playing his studs or starters in certain situations... But this isn't one of those. What makes Waddle special is his return abilities... All-around weapon. This wasn't the 2nd half of a blowout or some meaningless game, it was the opening kickoff of a legit SEC opponent in an already shortened season.

There's no blame on this one, just shit-ass luck. Unfortunately this can potentially lead into the convo we've all had about "is it worth playing your junior year when you're a shoe-in 1st rounder", but as of right now you just feel for the kid. RTR

Good: beating the Viles

Bad: Replay officials blowing the targeting call.

Ugly: losing Waddle (btw, I agree with you @UAgrad93 )

@Tidestalker .....

didnt leave anything out to add....cept the “bullshit...bullshit” you could hear on tv audio about an officials ruling...

@Bamabww ....
first time i have ever seen announcers....the "official in booth" all agree that the call was so obvious ..( and it was pretty obvious).... and then overturned....lol

Bad: 0 Sacks yesterday. I can't remember too many QB hurry's either. Good enough to beat Tennessee... Good enough to beat Ohio State or Clemson?

IMO a glaring need for improvement is pressuring the QB. It's we're asking a lot of the secondary, maybe too much, without some type of pass rush impact.

Good: Offense,,,,,5th week in a row

Bad: Getting torched on deep throws

Ugly: JW's Injury....I will say this guys,,its football, this crap happens. We lost the most explosive player in CFB. However, this offense is still lethal without him. We hung 48 on a decent Vile D and probably could have scored more had we wanted. What we lost was that fear opponents have had trying not to get beat over the top with his speed. Obviously the number of explosive touchdowns he produces will be missed, but Smitty is no joke with his speed either. After observing Sarks offensive mind and his schemes, I have no doubt he will reconfigure this offense to the strengths he still has, and we have many, and we may have longer sustained drives but make no mistake we will still be a scoring machine.

Anything to gig him a bit and make him think; especially on a Sunday.

I have no claim to the question. Saban asked it in response to a reporter mentioning the same thing a week or two ago. In that case there were no blitz packages called: same goes for pressure packages.

In another question ... do you think they wanted Guarantano scrambling?
