| NEWS Kentucky volleyball won the national title last night: First for their ladies, first for the SEC as a conference.

This sport is a lot like softball in its history. For years we saw softball dominated by PAC 12 teams with the occasional B1G team popping in.

As mentioned this is the first national title for the conference in volleyball. The ACC has never won a title. The majority are PAC and B1G teams with two exceptions: Texas has won two and Hawai'i has won two.

I take it the SEC doesn’t sponsor the following sports: rowing, fencing, lacrosse, hockey, field hockey. So there are a few sports we leave for the others to have a chance at claiming dominance in.
