| FTBL If there's one thing I like about the South Carolina vs Georgia weekend it's how UofSC fans feel about UGA.

There are things, I love, about the state of Georgia, South Carolina, Florida and Tennessee but not Mississippi. I haven’t found 1 thing about Mississippi that I even like. Or Louisiana for that matter.

I remember way back when...being in the Navy overseas for 3 years before visiting the continental US, coming home to Mobile. Everywhere I looked, there was a good-looking girl! God Bless GRITS!

When were you in? My daddy retired Navy in 76. The only ship I can remember him on was the Coontz.

I joined in Sep 1981. My first ship was in the Bay Area. I flew in the night the 49’rs won the NFC in 82. SF was rockin! That was also the first time I traveled west of Dallas. Retired in 76? Your dad is definitely hard core old school!

Thank you but he past away last year. 2 strokes in 2 months. It’s been 16 months, I’m 56, and I still have some pretty bad coping days.

@SnakeFan , do they still do all of the crazy stuff when they cross the equator?
I was supposed to participate in some 'crazy stuff of crossing the equator' in September '70 while on the USS JFK (CVA-67).
Unfortunately, three days after we departed Norfolk, we were diverted to the Mediterranean due to one of the many flareups
that light up the Middle East from time to time. I would bet money, however, that those same old traditions are still carried
out when they cross the Equator, and other notable voyages. Ya gotta love tradition (like Rammer Jammer).

ROLL TIDE!
