Extremely important.

Brent Venebles was just an average DC at OU from 2004-2012 and OU fans bitched about his scheme all the time.

When he goes to Clemson and has to scheme for offenses that quite frankly suck compared to the ones in the Big 12, his hyperagressive schemes resembled something that would make Buddy Ryan blush.

Much easier to recruit a quality roster at Dayton than Alabama. Nate is up against the same deal as Mr Starched Shirt was when he was in town. JMO but Nate will give it all he has for 3 years and then if not much success he will look for a new spot.

Dayton would have done some damage in the dance.

IMO, I think its a must. Look at what AG has done at Dayton that he could not do at Bama. Sometimes, the fit just is not right for whatever the reason.
