This is good. A bit surprising, but really good. Pederson getting canned in Philly could be good news for Bama.
Saban can’t be happy that Sark is raiding Bama coaches
You know it seems like that Saban and Sark had a pretty straight up relationship. Sark would understand that if it is a lateral Saban would frown on it but if a true career opportunity he might be more open to enabling it. This does not have the feel of some dishonest back channel process but I am not an insider.
To the dismay of some Bama fans Golding is staying
Could be. Texas is offering good money though.
I kind of get the same feeling too. For some reason I get the feeling he isn't trying to go behind his former employer's back like a certain guy over in the state of Georgia.
I really hope Golding stays
I am in the opinion that the more the coaching staff stays intact the better. I believe coaching instability was part of the reason for us having a slight drop off in 2019 along with those injuries.
Probably so, but I don't think he was going to bother with a bidding war if it came down to that. But, while Alabama was undefeated this year, there's something else that's always undefeated too. In this case, that was also a draw for him to return to Texas. Bottom line, he came to UA as a very good recruiter, but Saban/UA made him elite. Same will do the same with a replacement.
Not sure I am following what you are saying with what I highlighted. Oh I definitely agree with you about bidding war and Saban/UA makes a good recruiter great. They indeed have a great product to sell.
Women. Specifically, a girl friend that once had a home in Texas.
I understand the downside of losing great recruiters....Banks is one....
