That's funny. He'll be impeached before he is ever President again. Any thought that that Congress accepting the EC vote is some trigger for anythign important to happen other than him leaving office is a laugh riot.
We shall see. Why do you think they are so anxious to remove him? They can't wait 12 days?
We shall see nothing. It is over. Trump will be Former President Trump soon and no wishful thinking will fix that. And I say that as someone who voted for him in 2016 and still defend most of what he has done. He got a bad rap from the media for sure but this pretending that he will magically be President for 4 more years is a pipe dream. It's over and he will be gone soon, maybe before inauguration day and maybe by choice.
It’s not crucial to get him in the next 10 days. This is happening. Trump is fucked, and many who support him will go down with him.
Interestingly, he may be able to be impeached and found guilty even after he is out of office. Since the punishment can involve baring a person from holding office in the future, and Trump has said he would run again, it is very likely that the Democrats would seriously consider continuing impeachment even after he is out of office. Even more important, were he to step down and Pence pardon him that would not stop an impeachment from happening.
This is the end game. So if we can get out of the politics and emotions of this, if there are enough people in the USA to get him reelected as a political party, how can you just ignore that group? It is 70+ M strong. You can paint them all as racists lunatics but that is the easy way out. At some point you have to ask what is it they are not ok with in terms the of the direction of this country? Isolating them or shutting them down is not the long term answer. Doing that usually back fires on you.
This is exactly what should be happening.... Doing otherwise is going to alienate a lot of people. There are consequences to behaviors and people are watching within the USA. It is just reinforcing what each party already thinks about each other.
Absolutely. We definitely do need to come together, right after people are held accountable.
Not gonna take your bait other than to say I'd be pretty surprised if there is a White House visit this time (unfortunately).
Perhaps you can list these morals that Biden has? Perhaps you've confused them with lies.
I think this is a misstep, strategically, by the Democrats. Keeping the potential for another Trump candidacy will continue to divert a significant, albeit shrinking, number of hard core acolytes away from Republican efforts to retake the House and Senate in 22 months. I think enough Republicans will join in the Senate's removal vote to be rid of him.
