The young boy was to get that jersey from Mean Joe. It was stolen before he got it. Flash forward to around the mid 90. Him and Mean Joe was on one of those talk show that got then together again. Mean Joe gave him one of his old playing jersey. When he found out the one in the Ad. was stolen.

from what has been called "The Greatest American Sports Moment of All Time"...

i was 9 at that time (would be 10 later that year)...but i can still remember the feeling when we beat the soviets. it was like the unbelievable...the unimaginable...had happened. no one gave us a chance; even most in this country. but the coach and those boys had to know what they were about to do.

and if you haven't seen the movie made about it, Miracle, you definitely should.

I was living in Huntsville and watching the replay of that match on the local ABC affiliate. In the replay, they had a new break that announced that UA had beaten Russia. For me it was one of the biggest "spoilers" I've ever had.

I was ten and clearly remember this moment. This has stuck with me as the greatest sports moment...EVER. I've watched Miracle dozens of times. Never gets old.
