Key phrase, "very few insulating materials..." no one ever depended on fiberglass batts, blown paper pulp or blown styrofoam to hold UP anything. It's to hold OUT cold/warm air. It's like saying, "very few cowards are war heroes..." Very few mesh baskets can hold water....
