I picked up a few boxes of 9mm, 10mm, and 150 rounds of .223 the other day. Gotta buy when you can.

I hear you Plano. I ordered 1,500 9mm, 1,500 .40 and 500 .357 about 2 months back. 9mm was impossible to find around Nashville. A store would get in 2 pallets and they’d be gone by lunch. I’ve been using Ammunition Depot for a little while. They get you the stuff shipped out very quick and free shipping.

Good article in the Opinion section of the WSJ today from a writer there that just bout his first firearm. He gives some stats on who is buying right now and the demographics would surprise some. 40%+ of new buys this year are females and the racial demographics are not the norm. But it matches exactly what my friends that own pawn shops around here have been telling me.

I count 4 1911s in 9mm. Do you own any in .45?

You know, 'cause that's the proper caliber for that platform :p:geek:

Right on, Skeeter. All bark and no bite in 9mm! Lol I’ve got a Smith and Wesson 1911 and a WWII Colt 1911, both 45’s. The Colt was my granddad’s from the war. He was shot down once in the pacific and also crash landed another bomber in the Pacific. Kept this same .45 all through the war, for 3.5 years, mostly on 2 carriers. Still a great shooting pistol. But dang, these .45s have gotten expensive to shoot.

Tim, I looked around and found three shops that have changed hours/practices within 50 miles or so...

I really don't have to look at "stock" now. I've wishes...and will be spending at the Armory.

That's a helluva keepsake. I love guns with history.....ACTUAL history.

Re, the bold part: Why do you think I still have as much ammo today as I did 6 months ago, lol. I haven't gotten any more, but I haven't shot any, either. Dang stuff is too expensive to do either. :geek:
