Watch out for Florida. Whether those guys live up to their high school ability is the question, but Florida has some talent transferring in. Mullen somewhat quietly putting it together.

2 – Brenton Cox (6-4, 245) **** - Georgia to Florida jumped off the page at me. He transfers within the same division of the conference in which he plays??? Unheard of several years ago AND IF I WAS HIS COACH, IT WOULD BLOCK THE MOVE by not releasing him from his scholarship. He WOULD be free to go to another conference.

Hopefully, the new TE coming to Bama from NC will play a big role for us this year.

You really can't anymore. The Maurice Smith to Georgia jump from a few years ago set the precedent there. The NCAA also passed a rule that blocks that from ever happening again. A player doesn't even need to ask for permission from his school to transfer anymore, hence how the transfer portal started.

There's a good chance he ends up in the SEC and a good chance we see him in BDS the third week of this season. Not on would that make the QB battle in Athens fun to watch but it brings up a question in my mind.

When you're applying for a waiver for eligibility and that school is thousands of miles away and it's a nation caught up in the epidemic what do you tell the NCAA? "Because CA isn't allowing football this fall I need to transfer ..." 🤷‍♂️

Now that is an interesting question. Maybe we can add some quick depth this year at some key positions :). All kidding aside, seems like this could cripple even more than they already are the Pac-12 if they indeed sit out a year. It is like a year of death penalty sanctions. It would have an impact on their recruiting as well. Just more opportunities for the programs and conferences that find a way to play. Definite advantage if the SEC can pull it of.

Go to the link and look over how many QBs are granted immediate eligibility. Maybe a lot of those guys are grad transfers (Im really not sure) but it definitely seems disproportional compared to all other positions.
