I found this a few minutes ago

Offensively, Bama finished:
1st in runs scored
1st in OBP
2nd in slugging
1st in triples
2nd in homers (1 behind LSU)
1st in walks (131 was 35 more than 2nd place LSU)
1st in fewest strikeouts
1st in sac bunts
1st in stolen bases (48 was 16 more than 2nd place Ole Miss)

Pitching:
1st in fewest runs allowed
1st in ERA
2nd in opposing BA
6th in walks (might not sound great, but it was about half of last year's total)
1st in fewest triples allowed (0)
1st in fewest homers allowed
2nd in fewest hit batters

Defensively we finished 7th in fielding percentage. Not great, but only .002 behind 5th and a big improvement over last year, despite having 3 new starters on the infield, and new starters at all 4 positions.

Individually, Elissa Brown led the league in stolen bases. Krystal Goodman led in ERA, followed by Montana Fouts. Fouts led in opposing batting average.

Also great that we did not have any pitcher in the top 12 of innings pitched or appearances. Fouts only threw 61.1 innings compared to Barnhill's league-leading 113.1.

I can't see how they get all the games in today unless there's a huge break in the weather forecast.

I get that it's Wednesday and it's a morning start for the tournament...but it's still a poor showing by A&M fans. A LOT of empty seats this morning...

UofSC and Florida in a weather delay. I wonder if we could see an 830 AM start tomorrow? 8.jpg

You may not have to stay up that late tonight. I just glanced at the forecast for College Station and there's a five hour window this afternoon where the chance of rain is less than 50%. The rest of the day it's at that percentage, or higher. There's a 60-70% chance of rain in game four today.

Considering they were only able to get in three games yesterday and with five on tap, so far, today...thinking there's a good chance we don't see Bama play until early Friday morning. At this rate, I'm beginning to think the tourney won't conclude until Sunday.

Rain will likely be the MVP of this tourney. That stuff is headed this way and will make the semifinals of the AHSAA baseball tournament damn near impossible to get in this weekend. Supposed to be DH on Friday with an "if necessary" Game 3 on Saturday. State finals slated to begin Monday.

UGA moves on, Arkansas out ... Bulldog(ettes?) will face the Tide tonight (or tomorrow morning?)

UGA was swept by Bama less than a month ago in Tuscaloosa.

OK, I'll be the first to admit they do some strange things in the dugouts at times. Everyone does.

But, I can't say I've seen a fish carried for good luck (or is that supposed to be a faux shark?)
