I can't begin to recount the times I knew ordinary people that lied about looking for, interviewing, or just considering a job change. When confronted, they all lied. I bet Jaws did at some time in his life also.

Saban was left with no choice but to lie. He was in the middle of making a playoff run. He had no choice but to lie for the sake of his obligations to the Dolphins and their players. If he had been honest, his team.very well could have just quit on him. The question should have never been asked of him in the first place. Not at that time anyway. He did what was best for his team and their season. Instead of respecting that aspect, they crucified him from a different one. I wonder if they would have hung him out to dry if he had gone to Michigan or Texas?
