I have always said recruiting doesn't really matter until Signing Day...
On Signing Day Alabama will have a Top 5 class as they have for the last 4 or 5 years.
TAM is getting the new coach, successful season, Heisman bump recruiting year much like Auburn did in 2010.

HALL OF FAME MEMBER
aTm must have a bunch of back counters available to have this many commits.
The most important single central fact about a free market is that no exchange takes place unless both parties benefit.
They had a small class last year; 19. Out of those they were able to back count four.

I don't have AP preseaon on my wall, but I was only commenting on how Alabama incenses so many preseason prognosticators and the loathing they have for us only means one thing...we're beating up on people year in and year out!
Thanks for the input as to SI, didn't realize that.
Like I said though, the BCS is the one that counts these days, and it doesn't come out til 6th (?) week, so....
there again, there will be behind the scenes discussions on how Alabama 'might not measure up' in 2013.
You know, it's really better for us to not be ranked #1 until it really matters.
The big head gets teams in big trouble...hoping that happens to ND in a few weeks.
Oh, I know, I just thought that particular top 10 was interesting considering how the season played out for a lot of those teams hahah. I only had it on my wall because it was a cover with AJ on it, not because of the rankings or anything!
